Amtrak trains to enter Twilight Zone
November 3rd 2007 01:36 pm
At 2 AM on Sunday, Amtrak trains will enter another dimension of time and space. When the time changes from daylight to standard time, any Amtrak trains operating on schedule will instantly be running one hour ahead of schedule. In order to let the time “catch up” to the schedule, the trains will wait up to one hour at the next station, then continue their journey on standard time. Most of the passengers will likely be asleep and will not even notice the delay.
So while you’re getting your extra hour of sleep, Amtrak trains will be in limbo in The Twilight Zone.

Heh, and what happens in the spring when daylight savings time returns?

In the spring, the trains will be an hour later than usual.
