NJ-ARP marks 12 years online

November 21st 2007 04:00 am

NJ-ARP’s web site went online 12 years ago tomorrow, on November 22, 1995. The site was originally hosted on my personal web space and contained general information on NJ-ARP plus a membership application. There were 360 “hits” in the first full month. The site now gets over 100,000 hits per month.

The Hotline was placed online on January 16, 1996, starting with Hotline #81, courtesy of NJ-ARP member Donna Kress. With its weekly updates displayed in reverse chronological order, the NJ-ARP Hotline was a blog before the word “blog” was invented.
