Raritan Line also being cut on weekends

Free PATH rides today

February 25th 2008

PATH is giving free rides today from 6 AM to 11 PM to celebrate PATH’s 100 anniversary. They will also be distributing vouchers for free SmartLink cards. Train service started between 19th Street (yes, 19th St) and Hoboken on February 25, 1908, with two VIP trains. Revenue service started at midnight.

PATH fare increase approved

January 4th 2008

The Port Authority approved an increase in the PATH fare this morning, effective March 2, 2008:
Cash fares on PATH will increase from $1.50 to $1.75, a 25-cent reduction from the original proposal. Daily PATH commuters who use the 10-, 20- or 40-ride fare card will see an increase from $1.20 to $1.30 per ride, less […]

Another PATH derailment

March 29th 2007

A PATH train derailed near Hoboken on Wednesday night. This is the second derailment in four days. Both of the trains were leaving Hoboken and bound for 33rd St when they left the tracks. Coincidence?
