George Warrington dead at 55

George D. Warrington, former President of Amtrak and Executive Director of NJ Transit, died today of pancreatic cancer. Mr. Warrington ran Amtrak from 1998 to 2002 and NJ Transit from 2002 until early this year. NJ-ARP marks 12 years online

NJ-ARP’s web site went online 12 years ago tomorrow, on November 22, 1995. The site was originally hosted on my personal web space and contained general information on NJ-ARP plus a membership application. There were 360 “hits” in the first full month. The site now gets over 100,000 hits per month.
