Your support is vital to improve the transportation system of N.J. Every voice is needed to make clear the importance of rail passenger service. Public education, informing media and elected officials of the valuable role a balanced transportation system plays in our state is a part of NJ-ARP's mandate. Recent outreach by NJ-ARP members at public forums and to media helped revise some of the more onerous provisions of New Jersey Transit's July 2005 fare increase. NJ-ARP has, and will continue to influence NJ Transit's equipment design decisions. You may have ideas of your own. The New Jersey Association of Railroad Passengers wants to hear them!

Membership benefits include:

NJ-ARP Newsletter Report - Published bi-monthly (even months) and mailed to all members keeping them informed of current plans, development ideas and proposals for better transportation services. Issues average 8 to 10 pages in length and contain many items not previously published in the NJ-ARP Hotline.
NJ-ARP Observations - Published bi-monthly (odd months) and mailed to Sustaining and Patron members dealing with late-breaking issues.
Spring Patron's Luncheon - Patron members meet for an annual luncheon each Spring to share thoughts and ideas with NJ-ARP Directors and, whenever possible, a guest from NJ Transit or other transportation-related enterprise. (Luncheon included at no extra cost.)
NJ-ARP Annual Fall Meeting - These informative meetings are held in a different N.J. community each year. (Meeting is at an additional cost and includes lunch.)
NJ-ARP Hotline - Our 24-hour news hotline, available online and at 201-963-8979, provides the latest information on rail and transit issues. It is updated weekly (sooner if necessary). Our members are encouraged to leave their feedback and messages for our directors.
